Dr. Brandy Crowley graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor's in elementary education. She taught in the elementary classroom (2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades) for 14 years at Lamar Consolidated and Conroe Independent School Districts. During this time, she completed her master's in Curriculum and Instruction at Texas A&M University. Following her years in the classroom, Dr. Crowley served as a District Instructional Math Coach for grades Pk-6 in Conroe ISD. She later earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on elementary mathematics from Baylor University.  While at Baylor, she taught teacher education courses, supervised interns , and conducted research on topics such as preservice teacher questioning and noticing in the mathematics classroom and the impact of a summer math program on early learners. 

Dr. Crowley is currently an associate professor at Emporia State University, where she prepares preservice teachers for the elementary mathematics classroom. She also serves as the Director of Elementary Education, supporting her colleagues, preservice teachers, and mentor teachers in their shared mission to prepare future educators for success in the elementary classroom.
