Providing grant resources and identifying funding opportunities
Grants + Grant Funding Administrator
When it comes to finding outside funding for your research projects, the Office of Research and Grants is here to help you. We are here to provide resources for locating funding opportunities as well as to provide information to help you write the best proposal for both research and non-research based grants.
Recent non-research grants have included:
- National Institute of Standards and Technology to establish a Cybersecurity Center $1.5 million (additional $1.1 million support from the State);
- U.S. Department of Education for TRIO Upward Bound project to help college students from disadvantaged backgrounds succeed in and finish college ($1.49 million);
- Emporia Human Relations Commission to build a ~1.1-mile trail on campus through the Campus Woods along the Neosho River ($270,250);
- U.S. Department of Education for a new McNair Scholars program ($1.16 million); and
- Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program to incorporate science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education into the Master of Library Science curriculum ($496,277).
The Office of Research and Grants also serves as the administrator for all grant funding received by Emporia State University.
