Strategic Planning

Emporia State University is responsible in the ways that it pursues its mission. Its quality is measured by the effectiveness and efficiency by which the institution fulfills its mission of "Preparing Students for lifelong learning, rewarding careers, and adaptive leadership." The Adaptive University Strategic Plan 2015-2025 is the document that identifies and coordinates strategies designed to create effective student learning environments, maximize resource utilization, and advance the institution. Institutional effectiveness is measured through key performance indicators (KPI's) including student success metrics, graduates' successes, and campus master plan and technology plan accomplishments. The strategic plan aligns with the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) strategic plan Building a Future, and the KPI's evidence Emporia State University's commitment to its' role in serving the needs of the State of Kansas. The Kansas Higher Education Statistics (KHEStats) is the data reporting portal for the State of Kansas. In this all-inclusive data portal, the information specific to Emporia State University is searchable for Enrollment, Credential Production, Students Success Index, Employment & Wage Information, and Resources. This tool can also be used to review system-wide data metrics or to compare institutions by type.

The institution-wide tracking of strategic planning accomplishments is hosted in the Planning module of Campus Labs. The individuals and units responsible for the objectives and strategies update the plan's progress on a quarterly basis and an annual report is produced at the conclusion of the academic year. These annual reports are all-inclusive of multiple years of reporting and each snapshot provides a report of the comprehensive accomplishments of the plan.
