See what it means to join a fraternity or sorority at Emporia State University.
There are three fraternities in the Interfraternity Council and three sororities in the Panhellenic Association. Formal recruitment begins during the first week of school in August. There are opportunities to meet members at various events during the summer and at the beginning of school if you want to ask questions about formal recruitment.

Primary Recruitment will be held August 20-24. We will share what it means to be a sorority woman at our PHA Orientation Night, which is required for anyone wishing to participate in formal recruitment. To learn more about ESU’s sororities, follow us on Instagram @esupanhellenic.

Interested in joining a fraternity at Emporia State University? Each chapter will host its own recruitment events this year. The Interfraternity Council (IFC) will not be organizing a centralized process, so we encourage you to connect directly with chapters for details.

MULTICULTURAL GREEK-LETTERED GOVERNING COUNCIL RECRUITMENT
The first two weeks of September will be the recruitment period for the Multicultural Greek Lettered Governing Council.
Requirements include:
- Must be a second-semester freshman or meet the GPA requirement below.
- Each organization has a minimum GPA requirement:
- Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc: 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc: 2.75 cumulative GPA.
- Community Service hours and other activities required per organization.
