The mathematics history museum
Mathellaneous
The motto of Mathellaneous is
Mathematics is… Everywhere, Important and Fun!
Visitors can see how mathematics is part of nature, art, politics and more. The space includes a historical exhibit showing how the emphasis, teaching and calculation of mathematics has changed over the past 4000 years. Visitors can also have fun solving the various 3D-printed puzzles on display. Some puzzles from the Julia Robinson Math Festival website are included to provide more options for younger visitors. Call ahead to schedule a tour, or just drop in. Middle school and high school teachers also have the option of scheduling a more personalized experience.
