Academic Affairs
Welcome to the Office of Academic Affairs
Academic Affairs comprises all faculty, staff, and academic programs across seven schools and colleges and General Education.
It also includes the Graduate School, Office of Research & Grants, Learning Design Technologies, and the Office of International Education.
Faculty Recognition & Evaluation
At ESU, faculty evaluation must be consistent with the values of Emporia State University, therefore the criteria and processes for retention, tenure, promotion, merit raises, sabbaticals, and post-tenure review recognize that:
1) We are a teaching-focused institution.
2) We highly value teaching, scholarship/creativity, and service activities that result in student learning and the meaningful engagement, retention, and success of students.
The Faculty Recognition Document of each school and college enumerates the criteria and benchmarks for faculty performance.
