Hornet Heritage Award 2025
The Emporia State University Alumni Association is proud to recognize legacy families with the Hornet Heritage Award, which honors a multi-generational family of ESU alumni and former students – families who have made Emporia State University a family tradition. This year, two families with their own deep connections to Emporia State University — brought together through marriage and united by generations of Hornet experiences — have been selected as the 2026 Hornet Heritage Family. Congratulations to the Stormont and Cowan families, which were honored in September 2026.
