Inclusive Excellence Day

Inclusive Excellence, Nov. 1, 2021, at Emporia State University endeavors to honor the cultures, talents, multiple understandings, perceptions and distinction that diverse communities bring to our institution while preparing students to live, lead, and thrive in a diverse world.  Inclusive Excellence Day strives to recognize and celebrate projects and presentations by staff, faculty, and students, that showcase the breadth and depth of ESU’s commitment to becoming a model for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Through this day, our hope is to build community, share best practices and innovative ideas, establish connections, and create space for future collaborations.

Accomplishments by ESU students, faculty, and staff in diversity, equity and inclusion may be recognized in such areas as:

  • Research and creative projects
  • Activism
  • Civic engagement
  • Fine arts and performing arts
  • Pedagogy and instructional design
  • Institutional, departmental, or programmatic processes
