Emporia State’s engraving arts program will be on display — as well as its new instructor — during a reception on Friday, Feb. 7. Emporia State offers the only bachelor’s program in engraving in the world.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Donald Reichardt Center for Publishing and Literary Arts will cap the Founders’ Day event schedule at Emporia State University at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 14. The event is free to the public.

The Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center is taking a short road trip for this month’s special Science Saturday, which journeys into the world of physical science. The event will take place at ESU’s Science Hall on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

A transformative $750,000 investment from a FORGE grant is set to boost the economies of Emporia, Lyon County, and the surrounding region. This collaboration between Emporia State University and Emporia Main Street, supported by the Kansas Department of Commerce, will drive new business opportunities and innovation.

Emporia State University will celebrate 162 years of educational excellence with the annual Founders’ Day Celebration and luncheon on Friday, Feb. 14. Located in Memorial Union’s Webb Hall, the doors will open at 11:30 a.m. with a program beginning at noon.
