The Emporia State University Art Program will host guest artist Shaun Roberts as part of the Art Forum series. The Art Forum presentation is scheduled for Friday, March 1 from 4 to 5 p.m. on the third floor of the Lyon County History Center, located at 711 Commercial St. The event is free and open to the public.

Emporia State University Theatre presents “Late, A Cowboy Song” by Sarah Ruhl. Performances are scheduled for Feb. 29 and March 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. and March 3 at 2 p.m. in the Ronald Q. Frederickson Black Box Theatre, in Roosevelt Hall.

The 2024 Bonner and Bonner Diversity Lecture, featuring keynote speaker Wesley Hamilton, will take place on Thursday, March 7, at 7 p.m. in Albert Taylor Hall. The theme of the keynote is “Overcoming Any Obstacles by Allowing Disruptions.”

Emporia State University’s Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center, or PAROC, is planning several upcoming science-themed events designed to be fun and educational. PAROC continues its monthly Science Saturdays and adds an evening option for Science Storytime targeted at children 7 and under.

A Wichita murder case is the topic for the next installment of the Emporia State University Master of Science in Forensic Science 2023-2024 Seminar Series. This fifth series and first event of the spring 2024 semester continues the theme “More Kansas Crimes.”

More than 400 high school students from across Kansas converged on the Emporia State University campus to compete in the Donald L. Bruyr Mathematics Day on Wednesday (Oct. 18). The 2023 competition was the 50th anniversary.

The Emporia State University cheer squad has moved under the umbrella of ESU Athletic Bands in the music program of the School of Visual and Performing Arts. The move puts into one place all aspects of fan spirit experience for athletic competitions.
