An expanded Science Saturday event from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Aug. 10 will wrap a busy, exciting and education-rich summer at Emporia State University’s Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center.

Parents and caregivers must accompany them, and seating is limited. Both sessions will explore the world of trees.

Emporia State University Theatre celebrates 70 years of Summer Theatre with the performance of "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" by William Shakespeare. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Summer Theatre Program at ESU. Performances are scheduled for June 27 through 29 at 7:30 p.m. and June 30 at 2 p.m. in the Ronald Q. Frederickson Black Box Theatre, in Roosevelt Hall.
Emporia State University is proud to announce its participation in the 2024 Kansas Tourism Sunflower Summer program. Visitors to the campus can see a Cretaceous mosasaur and a mastodon tusk at the Johnston Geology Museum, while the Schmidt Museum of Natural History contains a collection of 600 taxidermy mounts of birds, mammals, reptiles and fish from Kansas. Then, journey to the Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center (PAROC), built on the shores of ESU’s King Lake. PAROC provides guests with hands-on experiences and the chance to see live animal exhibits featuring aquatic species native to the region.
