One of Emporia State’s largest and most loyal family of alums will be honored on Saturday, Sept. 17 during halftime of the Hornets’ game against Missouri Western in Welch Stadium.
Veteran’s Day 2021 will be celebrated on the Emporia State University campus on Saturday, Nov. 6, with two special events — the annual Veterans Celebration followed by the dedication of a new Student Veteran Center on campus.
As Emporia State alumni return to campus for in-person celebrations, the university welcomes the Emporia community to also enjoy the special events. Homecoming 2021 begins Thursday, Oct. 21 and concludes with a matinee of the musical on Sunday, Oct. 24. In between these dates will be a celebration with a live concert, food trucks and a special announcement about Together, Forward, The Campaign for Emporia State.

Paul and Odessa Terry didn’t merely dream that all eight of their children would graduate from college; they expected it. The children didn’t disappoint and, as a result, the Terrys will be honored as a 2020 Hornet Heritage Family by Emporia State University’s Alumni Association on Saturday, Feb. 8, during the Hornets’ home basketball game.
