A psychology professor with nearly three decades in the field is the 2022 Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor at Emporia State University. Dr. John Wade was surprised with the announcement during his Psychology in the Real World undergraduate glass this morning (Thursday, May 5, 2022).

Representing nearly 130 years of teaching experience, the seven members of the 2022 class of Kansas Master Teachers were announced today.
Doing the work required to become board certified in any profession is difficult. When the board certification demands you demonstrate your skill – like teaching in an elementary, middle, or high school classroom – and schooling during a pandemic makes it more difficult. However, 27 Kansas determined educators persevered and earned their first-time certification or maintained their status as National Board Certified Teachers.

The 30th annual National Teachers Hall of Fame auction will be held on Thursday, Nov. 18, with the goal of raising money for Induction Week 2022. The Class of 2020 has had its induction ceremony postponed three times because of CDC guidelines for the COVID-19, so the plan is to induct that five-member class, along with the soon-to-be-selected Class of 2022 during Induction Week, June 13-17, 2022. Because this will be a double induction, costs will be double, and the Hall of Fame is asking everyone who can to be a part of this major fundraiser.
What started as a project for class now is a book that can assist art therapists.
