It may be the hottest time of year here in Kansas, but Emporia State’s Peterson Planetarium will take you to the darkest, most violent places in the galaxy, with temperatures far exceeding those of a hot summer day.
The August fulldome presentation, The Hot and Energetic Universe, gives attendees a look at high-energy radiation that provides important information about the universe, our own galaxy, neutron stars, supernova remnants and stars like our own sun.
Come in out of the heat and enjoy the show, which features a Q&A session and an exploration of the night sky over Emporia with Peterson Planetarium Director Mark Brown.
The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, and each attendee must register individually at emporia.edu/planetarium.
