Come celebrate the women of Emporia State University on Friday, March 30 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Sauder Alumni Center. The Ethnic and Gender Studies program and the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies are sponsoring the reception.

Twelve Emporia State students are headed to Baltimore for national competition after earning awards at the 2018 Kansas State Leadership Conference. The students were among 14 members of ESU’s chapter of Phi Beta Lambda who traveled to Butler Community College in El Dorado for the event. During the conference, James Willingham, coordinator of graduate and career services in the ESU School of Business, was recognized as PBL State Advisor of the Year.

An Emporia State business student from Valley Falls won the 2018 Emporia Entrepreneur Challenge on Tuesday. Carissa McAfee was among 17 teams from Emporia State University and one team from Flint Hills Technical College that presented their business proposals to a team of judges and the community during the event.
